Did you know a recent study found that taking NSAIDs may actually contribute to chronic lower back pain?
Did you know that nondrug treatments like exercise, physical therapy, heat or massage are as effective as medication for acute pain? Without the side effects.
Q: Where did you learn massage therapy?
A: I studied at East West College in Portland, OR. It’s like massage 101, all the basics. Then I took courses with Alex Susbauer, Jonathan Primack, and Jon Hart who specializes in Tui Na, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, and Structural Integration. I practiced on everyone. Most people did not enjoy my work. In addition to massage, yoga aspired new ways to stretch and move which I implemnted into my work.
Q: Does massage have to hurt?
A: Some discomfort is ok, but no, massage or deep tissue shouldn’t have to hurt.
Q: How often do I need to schedule a massage?
